The group conducts its research around physical and sporting activity across the life cycle, with particular emphasis on evaluating practice, active lifestyles and the social, educational and psychological conditions that shape the sporting experience and individual and collective well-being. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, the group draws on contributions from physical education, sport psychology, sociology and human movement sciences, with the aim of generating applied and transferable knowledge that helps improve professional practice, institutional decision-making and the design of physical and social environments more conducive to physical activity and sport.
